Bower Trading is a full service commodities brokerage founded in 1998 by James Bower on the idea of providing investors, traders, and producers an avenue to participate as efficiently and as correctly in the high risk and ever-changing commodities futures and options market.

Bower Trading President Jim Bower has extensive media experience that spans more than three decades. His expertise on global market conditions makes him one of the most knowledgeable market analysts in the world.
Bea Smith joined Bower Trading in 1992, leveraging her background in education and community outreach into her current executive management position. Bea has earned a reputation among Bower Trading clients for having excellent organizational and people skills and providing outstanding customer service to each client. She has a Supervisor Certification and is certified in anti-money laundering and cyber security programs.
Prior to joining Bower Trading, Bea worked as a secretary/bookkeeper in an attorney’s office and in the Lafayette School System. From 1982 to 1989, Bea and her husband co-founded MK Construction and JaBea Management, a property management company. Bea is an active member of the community and a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, through which she has been awarded the designation as “Woman of the Year” on six occasions and held various local and state elected positions, including state president and advisor to the board. Bea and her husband have six children and reside in Lafayette, Indiana.
